M& HILALI : In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 2YUSUFALI : Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; PICKTHAL : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, SHAKIR : All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. M& HILALI : All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 3YUSUFALI : Most Gracious, Most Merciful; PICKTHAL : The Beneficent, the Merciful. SHAKIR : The Beneficent, the Merciful. M& HILALI : The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 4YUSUFALI : Master of the Day of Judgment. PICKTHAL : Master of the Day of Judgment, SHAKIR : Master of the Day of Judgment. M& HILALI : The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 5YUSUFALI : Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. PICKTHAL : Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help. SHAKIR : Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. M& HILALI : You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). 6YUSUFALI : Show us the straight way, PICKTHAL : Show us the straight path, SHAKIR : Keep us on the right path. M& HILALI : Guide us to the Straight Way 7YUSUFALI : The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. PICKTHAL : The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. SHAKIR : The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. M& HILALI : The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians). | |||
