He is al-Awwal/the First, preceding everything [but] without [His] having any beginning, and al-Ākhir/the Last, succeeding everything [but] without [His] having any end, and al-Zāhir/the Manifest/the Evident, through the proofs for Him, and al-Bātin/the Hidden, from the perception of the senses, and He is al-Alīm/All-Knower of every things.
